Popular zoo mural gets tagged again
The 50-foot mural of elephants and apes and other wild animals that adorns the underpass walls at Phinney Avenue North at North 57th Street, and which had received media attention this summer because city crews had painted over it, and then uncoverd it after public outcry, has been defaced again.

He finally settled on a spot at 115 W. Galer St. on Queen Anne Hill and set up shop in June. The business is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. "This was definitely my first choice because I could get in immediately," he said.

The Church of the Ascension, at 2330 Viewmont Way W., is still looking for donations for its sale. With the exception of encyclopedias, textbooks and computer manuals, books are acceptable, of course, but so are videotapes, DVDs and CDs, Mueller said.

A branch from a massive oak tree along the 2500 block of 10th Avenue West suddenly broke from the tree and fell onto Metro trolley lines suspended over the street snapping a support cable and blocking both lanes of the street for hours.
