Man severs arm
At 5:13 a.m. police received a call that a man involved in an industrial accident at a container company at 5801 East Marginal Way S. had severed his arm. The man was not trapped by the machine and was taken to Harborview Medical Center. His condition is unknown.

Traffic alert: Longterm closure of westbound Spokane St. set
As construction proceeds, additional segments of lower Spokane Street will be closed to through traffic, including the westbound segments between Sixth and Fourth Avenues, and between First Avenue and East Marginal Way. Substantial completion of the project is expected at the end of 2011.
