• 29th Avenue and East Yesler Way Trial delayed for ex-deputy charged in cell beating

  Brenton and Officer Britt Sweeney were parked near 29th Avenue and East Yesler Way when a car pulled up alongside their cruiser and an occupant opened fire. Brenton was hit multiple times; Sweeney, wounded in the back, returned fire as the car left the scene.
