This is a great place. Been very good fit for our kids. Families involved, children friendly and polite. Academics solid. New principal starting in fall sounds awesome.

As we previewed last month, the city installed an all-way stop sign, flashing beacon and crosswalk at the confusing intersection of Leary Ave. and Vernon Pl. With most of the work done, crews have just painted the "curb bulbs," which come in all different colors and designs - like these blue swirls over on 40th Ave.

We have been very happy at St.Al's for many years and know many families who feel the same. It is a community of dedicated teachers and staff who care for my child, love their faith, and teach strong academics. This you will find at St. Al's. Some people have an unrealistic expectation of what a school "should" be, and they may be looking for a prestigious or elite private school-- I think this is reflected in the negative views. St. Al's does not desire to fit a mold of what a private education should be. They want to stand out as a religious school with a dedicated priest, religious sisters, faculty and families committed to the spiritual, academic, social and moral development of the students. God Bless St. AL's.
