When we talked to the owner of Mac’s Upholstery late last year, he said he has plans to move to a nearby property. Meanwhile, the city is installing a crosswalk and center divide at 15th and 53rd.

To the west at 2417 NW Market St., a larger apartment complex is in the works to replace the building that includes Ballard Transfer and Twice Sold Tales.

    We've been reporting about two incoming developments, one on 15th Ave. NW and the other on Market St. Now we have the preliminary designs for both. "The Apodment" is slated for the site of Mac's Upholstery at 5011 15th Ave.

This stretch of 15th Ave. NW is becoming home to several apartment complexes, including a new development planned for 51st and 15th.

That busy stretch carries an estimated 50,000 vehicles and 15,000 bus passengers every day, SDOT says. For nearly half a mile — between Market and Leary — there are no crosswalks, which often results in some pedestrians making a mad dash across 15th.

Briefs: Tires slashed, streetfight, BHS jazz, litter patrol, beer wars and more

WEWORK EVERYWHERE: After announcing its taking a couple floors of Ballard’s upcoming office building at 15th and Market, it looks like WeWork is leasing the entire Watershed building in Fremont. That’s a new 7-story development at the base of the Aurora Bridge at N. 34th St.

TIRES SLASHED: Neighbors say someone slashed the tires on at least 19 cars late Friday evening near on 24th Ave. NW near 83rd St. (which is near last week’s stabbing incident.) Residents in Magnolia were also hit, reports KIRO. Seattle Police has no suspects so far.
