Tunneling to the Junction is a Wasted Opportunity
When voters approved Sound Transit 3 in 2016, they consented to a "provisional alignment" to take trains from roughly 15th & Market to the West Seattle Junction via South Lake Union and Downtown. A long line with a long tunnel through downtown required compromises.

Sound Transit has been busy boiling down thousands of public comments to find the best light rail route into Ballard. • St. Alphonsus School reviewed by a parent

Dear Prospective Parents: As long as the current Principal, Matt Eisenhauer is leading this school, I would encourage you to select an alternate school for your child to attend. There are so many great school choices in Seattle. School's where you can feel proud of the leadership. This is not that school. 1. Communication: Principal may or may not ever respond to your email or phone call. This is especially true if you are female. 2. Communication: Principal talks down to women and girls. I have heard him refer to a group of mothers as "skirts". 3. Communication: Principal gossips, a lot. I know things about school lawsuits that I shouldn't know because the Principal discusses confidential information in the common area. In front of kids and parents. 4. Trust: As a result of poor leadership, or family does not trust that our children will be well cared for. We don't feel that the Principal cares for any of us in the school. Please consider these items as you make a choice for your children, especially if you have girls.
