Officers Arrest Man for First Hill Auto Theft

A 50-year-old man called 911 after he saw his truck being stolen from the lot near 7th Avenue and Cherry Street around 1:40 p.m. Monday.

Additional officers located the truck parked in the 500 block of Yesler Way and were able to return it to the victim.

    Seattle budget includes money for safe-injection site
    SEATTLE -- The Seattle City Council has passed a 2018 budget that includes $1.3 million to create what could be the nation's first authorized safe-injection site for drug users. Our news partner The Seattle Times reports that the $5.6 billion budget approved Monday also increases city spending on programs that address homelessness to $63 million, a nearly 40 percent jump over four years ago.

In 2013, his family established the Desmond Jackson Memorial Scholarship at Seattle Central College to create a positive legacy for Desmond and to help young, African-American men attend college.

    SEATTLE - The FBI is offering a $15,000 reward to anyone who can tell agents where a suspected child sex trafficker Kamau Curnal is hiding. Agents believe the 29-year-old may be in the Seattle area. Curnal is accused of bringing a teen girl from Portland to Seattle to prostitute as part of a sex trafficking operation last year.
