    This morning, as the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) handed out bagels to bike commuters, some had a bigger ask: Finish the "basic bike network." This morning at City Hall, a slate of advocates from Cascade Bicycle Club, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, and others-supported by City Councilors Rob Johnson, Teresa Mosqueda, and Sally Bagshaw-advocated for a connected bike network throughout downtown.

Seventh Avenue will be closed between Pike and Pine on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for signal installation. Also, starting Friday night, Seventh between Pine and Olive will be a one-way southbound until forever.

Multiple arrests as anti-pipeline protesters shut down Seattle's 2nd Avenue

After the arrests, the street remained blocked by four large structures resembling teepees outside the Chase bank branch on Second Avenue near Union Street, disrupting Monday morning traffic through the area. Four protesters sat atop the teepees and refused officers' orders to come down.
